Being situated in "Pays de Bergerac-Vignobles & Bastides" at the crossroads of three départements, Dordogne, Lot et Garonne and Gironde, each offering varied and diverse activities, we try to keep abreast of the tourist activities on offer to provide our guests with a calendar of events, updated as accurately as possible.

To the Westa visit to the famous World heritage site and wine town Saint-Emilion is an absolute must, being with only 20 minutes’ drive from the Ostal! Also worth a look are the vineyards of Pomerol and Entre deux Mers.

A little further, about 1 hour away, is the city of Bordeaux, well worth the trip .... And why not pay a visit to the Atlantic coast?  The Bay of Arcachon and the Dune du Pyla are also easily accessible.

To the East discover the city of Bergerac and its "house wine".  The old town is 20minutes’ drive from Ostal, the castles of Monbazillac and Bridoire, about 25 minutes away.

A little further on, but accessible through beautiful landscapes, you can discover Sarlat (1h45), the Marqueyssac gardens, castles of the Dordogne Perigord Noir and many prehistoric sites in this beautiful region (Lascaux Caves is the most famous).

To the South Lot & Garonne invites you to discover its charming bastidesand its many gourmet markets (Duras, Eymet, Issigeac, Monpazier, etc ...) while motoring along the beautiful country roads in these areas.

Travelling North do not hesitate to explore the green Périgord and among other things, its two jewels: Perigueux and Brantome. The Gurson Lake and its nautic activities in Villefranche de Lonchat is also interesting. 

In the immediate vicinity of the Ostal in Périgordthere are numerous market towns (and their well known "marché gourmands" within 5-15 minutes,  visit the weekly Saturday market of Ste Foy la Grande (ranked amongst the 100 most beautiful markets in France), the Gallo-Roman thermal springs of Montcaret, the Castillon battle area, the Castle of Michel de Montaigne as well as famous Gardens of Sardy. Finally… discover on foot or by bike the vineyards of Montravel, or follow the many hiking trails in the Foyen countryside. Golf enthusiasts as well as anglers, tennis players will find much happiness in our region and we will be pleased to introduce you to the secrets of Geocaching (lots of cache in the "Pays de Montaigne" around our house). Two tennis playground are available for our guests at 150m of the Ostal.Locally there is cycling and canoeing on the Dordogne in Pessac sur Dordogne, but also the castle at Duras, many wineries and a 27 hole golf course is 20 minutes away (Golf Les Vigiers)
